"I Just Want To Understand..."

[postlink]http://youlava.blogspot.com/2010/01/just-want-to-understand.html[/postlink]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWgmPvuqhCAendofvid [startcatimage]5[endcatimage] [starttext]I'm really quite proud of this video, because I feel like it has a good message. I feel it brings awareness to a reality that is often ignored until it's too late. Suicide and depression are not things to be taken lightly, ever. In a survey of 15000 grade 7 to 12 students in British Columbia, 34% knew of someone who had attempted or died by suicide; 16% had seriously considered suicide; 14% had made a suicide plan; 7% had made an attempt and 2% had required medical attention due to an attempt. When I was in Sunday School, in the 7th grade, I remember a kid asking the group to pray for his friend, because he had killed himself. He was 13. A couple of years ago, I went through a very dark phase of my own life. I'm so glad that I'm still here today, happy and healthy and surrounded by people love me. Suicide is never a solution. Because it is in itself, a problem. I know as teenagers we face so much stress and our troubles are often not taken seriously by adults, but there is always a way to make things right again. No matter what, there will always be at least one person whose life would end if you took yours. Sometimes we feel like we're all alone in the world, but the thing is, we're not. None of us are perfect, or always happy and stress free, but I promise that things can get better if you have hope. If any of you ever feel like you're all alone, I'm here. I'll always listen as long as there are who people need to talk. PLOT: The story is pretty self-explanatory, but here it goes anyway. Basically the video is from Miley's point of view, and she's talking to Selena, who killed herself. Miley and the others (Demi, Nick, David, Joe, Kevin, ect) are trying to deal with the grief of losing their best friend. The foggy kinda black and white clips are memories/flashbacks. The foggy ending is basically Selena in heaven. And yah, I wrote the text. I'd like to dedicate this video to my friend Lydia (jbfan2355). She is wonderful and kind and strong and so talented. She's a true friend that I know I will never lose. She inspires me to be a better person. She makes me believe in myself when I don't want to. I know that I can share things with her that I can share with no one else. I love her so much :) Oh, and she's also gonna rock out with me at my Starstruck Premiere Party ;) PS. I know I didn't use my production sign but Vegas was being an epic tard so I took it off and it actually rendered properly.
